It was an honor to attend the first annual Black Fret Black Ball- where local music fans gave $100k in grants to beloved Austin musicians. My friends Dawn & Hawkes were nominated and I attended in their place while they were out of town opening for Patty Griffin.  Cheers to my friends who were awarded grants-  Erin Ivey, Elizabeth McQueen, Gina Chavez, and Graham Wilkinson!
